Leppert Associates specializes in Analytical and Numerical Modeling. We use a wide range simulators to determine the flow of surface and subsurface water though complex geology, topography, and pumping conditions. We can then use our understanding of the hydrologic system to estimate the fate and transport of chemicals, accounting for processes such as diffusion, retardation, partitioning, and degradation that occur during transport.

Leppert Associates has successfully completed Environmental Assessments for sites across the US (in more than 25 states); three Canadian provinces; and South America. We have developed extensive experience in conducting defensible and regimented environmental assessments required by the USEPA (and associated state agencies having primacy), the USACE, the OSMRE as well as all phases of real estate assessment. Leveraging our experience conducting regimented Environmental Assessments, we are also adept at navigating through more flexible state and local Voluntary Action Programs. LA has assessed sites administered through the RCRA laws; Superfund or CERCLA; TSCA; NEPA and numerous state Voluntary Action Programs. Our assessments have targeted the delineation of many types of environmental contaminants. Contaminants of concern include inorganic based constituents ranging from salt water intrusion in coastal aquifers to arsenic in residential soils. Organic-based contaminants include chlorinated solvents, petroleum hydrocarbons, and many less common contaminants such as PCBs, dioxins, and MTBE.

Quantitative skills coupled with the application of scientific principals and engineering practices provide LA staff the tools to design and implement innovative, efficient, and cost effective remediation strategies. We have completed projects under RCRA, CERCLA, and Voluntary Action programs. LA offers a variety of oversight services for ongoing remediation efforts ranging from sampling and compliance reporting to historical data analysis and remedial system optimization.

LA applies our technical expertise and knowledge of subsurface processes to assist mineral, oil/gas, and water resource clients develop these resources efficiently. Our capable team of engineers, hydrologists, geologists, and other scientists provide an integrated perspective on resource development. Our staff has the diversity to assist with any phase of a mining project.

Leppert Associates has written technical software to accomplish a wide variety of tasks. We have experience in SQL and database design, web based tools, and desktop applications. Our databases are most frequently developed to manage environmental data such as lab results, field parameters, and fluid levels. Our web-based tools include online well management systems, online numerical simulation interfaces, and statistical analysis. Our desktop applications perform tasks such as analysis of water quality data, rendering of bore logs and fence diagrams, and field event management.

Drawing from experience and technical expertise, Leppert Associates developed a regimented, defensible approach to conducting comprehensive, site-specific PFASs environmental forensic characterizations.
